I'm Justin Blank, a software developer originally from Raleigh, NC, USA, now living in Caldas da Rainha in Portugal.

I'm interested in everything, but especially topics related to:

• compilers and runtimes
• software performance
• program analysis (fuzzing, static analysis, etc)
• optimization and search problems

Professionally, I'm a staff engineer at MercuryGate, a SaaS company in the logistics space. I've worked on rating, multi-modal optimization, system performance, and the occasional security issue, among other things.

Before entering the software world in 2013, I studied math, went to graduate school in philosophy, then worked in shipping & receiving and construction safety for a few years.
